August 27th - Members of KVFD along with State Representative Harry Lewis with representatives from the Red Cross and FEMA Corps handed out around 300 bags containing smoke detectors batteries and fire safety awareness information. The groups then spoke with the residents along Main Street in the borough yesterday concerning fire safety and home evacuation in the event of an emergency.
KVFD would like to extend our sincere appreciation to State Rep. Lewis, the American Red Cross and the following members of the FEMA Corps, Leah Drummeter, Katie Cecil, Brendan DeWitt, Marcus Johnson, Shyaam Ford, Michael Barner, Joseph Colaruotolo, Sonya Tomasiewicz, Liam Bassford and team leader Kaili Frye.
