Tonight at 6:01 PM, a building fire was dispatched for Parkesburg School Apartments in the 300 block of Strasburg Ave., Parkesburg Borough. The caller reported that there was smoke in the building on the first floor. KVFD and several surrounding fire companies were dispatched.

Deputy Chief Schreiber arrived and reported that the fire was out but there was a smoke condition. All units responding that weren't on-scene were recalled. Firefighters on-scene went into service to ventilate. County and local fire marshals were notified.

Parkesburg PD assisted.

There were no injuries and all units were clear by 6:50 PM.
