Holiday Celebration for our Active Crew

Last evening the Keystone Valley Fire Department celebrated the holiday in lieu of training. Members gathered to enjoy some downtime, spread some holiday cheer and recognize the efforts of all.

The Chief Officers recognized our current most senior active crew member, Firefighter George Budzik presenting him with the 2018 Chief's Award for all his help and support to the Chief Engineer Gary Myers and KVFD. Without hesitation Budzik and Myers on a daily basis keep the facility clean, the apparatus prepared and the equipment ready for service. This year it was time to honor Firefighter Budzik.

The Board of Directors also recognized Douglas Delestienne for his years of service on the board of directors with the 2018 Service Award. Doug served on the Board since 2014 and has been the one behind the scenes making things happen including several large projects including the new facility, the new Rescue 8, and many other tasks.

Congratulations to both Firefighter Budzik and BOD Chairperson Doug Delestienne! And also those active crew members who day in and day out put their lives on the line for our great Community.

KVFD is supported by West Sadsbury Township, Highland Township and Parkesburg Borough through the Regional Fire District(KVRFD). Without the support of our KVRFD we would not be where we are today.

Thanks again to our Active Crew and most importantly their families for allowing them to respond when the alarm sounds.

Merry Christmas!
