The Pennsylvania State Fire Commissioners Office announced awards for the 2018-2019 Volunteer Fire Company and Volunteer Emergency Services Grant Program.

This morning KVFD was notified of the following funding awarded in the 2018-19 Pa State Grant:

Fire $60,000.00
EMS $14,315.22
Total $74,315.22

As part of this program, the Keystone Valley Fire Department was awarded $60,000.00 while Keystone Valley Emergency Medical Services was awarded $14,315.22, all totaling $74,315.22. in grant funds.

As you know the Keystone Valley Fire Department completed the Central Fire Station Renovation in Parkesburg. This grant award will go a long way to assisting us with reducing the debt accrued during the renovation process.

KVFD would like to thank Member Jared Dalmas for writing and submitting the grant on behalf of the Keystone Valley Fire Department. This can be a very time-consuming process and Jared has been doing it for years.

We would also like to thank the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for re-authorizing this program and the Pennsylvania State Fire Commissioners Office for acting as the administrative agent for this program. Without this program, many Fire/EMS agencies statewide would not otherwise be able to afford mission-critical equipment that is used frequently within their communities.
