Assist to Honey Brook for a barn fire

Early this morning, at 12:59 AM, KVFD was dispatched on a mutual aid assignment to assist the Honey Brook Fire Company at a barn fire on Beaver Dam Road. Initial reports had over 60 dairy cows in the barn. Ladder 8 initially responded with Tanker 8 and Squad 8 soon following.

Upon arrival Ladder 8 went into service with the master stream. Tanker 8 assisted in the water supply with four loads or about 12,000 gallons of water. Squad 8 provided traffic control.

While our units were assisting Honey Brook, the Cochranville Fire Co. covered our station.
