On Monday, May 5th, 2008 Parkesburg Fire Company hosted a training demonstration on a new device called the Turbo Draft. Westwood Fire Company, Modena Fire Company, and Cochranville Fire Company were all invited to the demonstration. The turbo draft is a device used in drafting water from ponds, streams, and any other source of water were the fire trucks would be unable to get close enough to use suction hose. At the demonstration the turbo draft proved to be very effective and easy to set up. The pond used during the demonstration was on Limeville Road in West Sadsbury Township. Thanks to the Farmer for the use the pond. Also Thanks to Westwood, Modena and Cochranville Fire Companies for attending the training. Photos by Lieutenant Bill Dill of Westwood Fire Company.
