On Monday, at 10:36 AM, KVFD was dispatched to assist the Sadsburyville Fire Company,along with multiple units throughout Western Chester County and Eastern Lancaster County, to an accident involving three vehicles on Rt. #10 north of Hershey Lane, Sadsbury Township.
Rescue 8, Engine 8-1 and Ambulance 8 responded.
Engine 8-1 and Engine 42-2 assisted with extrication until arrival of Rescue 8. All units were in-service and working. One subject was extricated from a pick-up truck on-scene.
Engine 42-2 had an 1 3/4" line pulled for safety and all hazards were handled.
Initial reports confirmed that three vehicles were involved in a crossover accident with entrapment in two vehicles and with one reported fatality.
Ambulance 8 transported one patient to the Paoli Hospital with a paramedic from Brandywine Hospital on-board while Westwood EMS transported one patient to Brandywine Hospital.
Station 8 units cleared as the scene as Station 31 units handled the remainder of the incident. Sadsburyville Fire along with a fire police task force were on-scene most of the afternoon.
Investigation is being conducted by the Sadsbury Township police, West Sadsbury Township police, and Chester County's accident reconstruction team. |
