At 11:16 PM, Wednesday night KVFD was dispatched to an appliance fire in the 200 block of Main Street in Parkesburg.

The caller reported a grease fire on the stove, and it was outside the oven. This report caused the call to be upgraded to a house fire.

Sadsburyville Fire Company, Cochranville Fire Company and the Westwood Fire Company were dispatched to assist.

Capt. Schreiber arrived and assumed "Main Street Command." He found the fire was contained to the pot on the stove and recalled all units other than KVFD. Our firefighters pulled a hand-line, made entry, investigated, and found no active fire or extension beyond the stove. A fan was placed in service for ventilation.

Two children who were in the house were not injured.

KVFD firefighters were in-service for about thirty minutes ventilating while fire police directed traffic away from Main Street.
