Rosenvick Road Haybales Fire

This morning at 6:51 AM, KVFD was dispatched to assist the Cochranville Fire Company with a hay bale fire on Rosenvick Road, south of Gum Tree Road in Highland Township, Chester County. FM-45, Fire Marshal McKee was the first to arrive and confirmed the report. Brush 8, Tanker 8 and Ambulance 8-1 responded along with Engine 27-1, Engine 27-2, and Tanker 27.

Captain 27 Jared Null assumed command and firefighters worked with a farmer to separate out the bales that were burning from those that were not and to stop the fire growth. Crews were in service for about an hour.

Cochranville, Christiana and Keystone firefighters will be on campus at the Octorara Area School District this morning for fire prevention week activities.
