Gas Leak on Main Street |

On Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at 9:24 AM, KVFD was dispatched with Sadsburyville Fire Company assisting, to the 100 block of Main Street in Parkesburg Borough for a gas leak inside the building. Upon arrival, firefighters found the source to be an apartment 101 (A) to the rear of the office. Crews from Engine 8-2 and Ladder 8 investigated and found that the leak was coming from the natural gas line in a stove inside the unit. The gas was shut down to the apartment and crews from 8 & 31 went into service with ventilation. Chief 8, Chief Gathercole, reported that the situation was under control at 9:40 A.M. with the situation mitigated. All units cleared the scene shortly after with the building being turned over to the occupants and the property owners. |
