Today, a very large crowd had an opportunity to meet the world famous Budweiser Clydesdales. The team made a trip from unloading in Minch Park, south on Gay Street and then west on Fourth Avenue to the rear of the VFW.

After a ceremony and a photo op with the crowd, the team returned to the park and headed back gradually into air-conditioned trailers.

KVFD and the Parkesburg police assisted with traffic control and parking. Firefighters also set up our Flag over the entrance to the VFW.

Budweiser describes the horses as:

"TRUE AMERICAN ICONS, first introduced in 1933, after the repeal of Prohibition, the Clydesdales have served as living symbols of not just Budweiser, but also the unconquerable American spirit.

Famous worldwide for their appearances in parades, television broadcasts, and even Presidential inaugurations, they're now set to make their most important appearance yet - the one with you!"

Units: Deputy 8, Traffic 8, and Ladder 8.
