This week KVFD completed annual hose testing. Over 10,000 feet of hose, every in-service section, was removed from the apparatus, tested and serviced IAW NFPA requirements. The hose was then re-packed. As you can imagine this is a very labor intensive process that took several contractors from Maintenance Unlimited Fire Services of Harrisburg two full days with our career and volunteer staff helping to move the apparatus around.
