This morning our on-duty career staff, Supervisor Regina Solecki and FF/EMT Kevin Bambrick, responded for a residential rescue of a cat stuck since Sunday between a stone wall and a basement ceiling. The owners had tried various resources to attempt the rescue but no one would respond. KVFD was recommended as the "last resort."

Upon arrival, the firefighters tried several methods. The cat, Scout, didn't respond to offers of food or other tricks. However, after a few judicious sprays of water from a water can, he was able to squeeze out and was reunited with the family.
