On Saturday at 9:40 AM, KVFD was dispatched to an accident reported to be serious with entrapment on Steelville Mill Road in West Sadsbury Township. Lieutenant 8 was the first to arrive and he confirmed the entrapment. As the other units arrived firefighters began extrication and that operation was completed at 10:01 AM. At 10:15 Chief 8 advised that all units were clear from the scene with the exception of fire police who were still directing traffic.The victim was transported by ambulance to the Lancaster General Hospital.

At 10:26 AM, Lieutenent 8 advised that all fire police were clear and the roadway was re-opened.

The accident is under investigation by the West Sadsbury Township police.
