The Keystone Valley Fire Department continues to follow its strategic plan and sells Engine 8-1, the 1999 KME Engine, down-sizing its fleet. Engine 8-1 will be replaced with a new rescue pumper in 2018. At that point, Rescue 8 will be placed out-of-service and sold. We will now utilize Engine 8-2 (Engine 8) as our front line suppression engine. Engine 8-1 was sold to the Lower Yoder Fire Department in Johnstown, Cambria County, PA. Engine 8-1 has served our community well. It was purchased new in 1999 by the Pomeroy Fire Company, and is a 750 gallon Class -A- Pumper with a six (6) man cab. KVFD wishes the Lower Yoder Fire Department the best with the Engine as it was a great piece of equipment for KVFD. |
