Tonight, KVFD firefighters had their first, of many opportunities, to train with the new eDRAULIC® tools at Atglen Recycling. Hurst Tools says, "This new line of battery-powered rescue tools has once again put us light years ahead of the competition. They require no hoses and no power unit. And because these tools are stronger, smaller and lighter, they're quicker than ever to the rescue."

Fire Chief Robby Cazillo said, "So when seconds count, KVFD and eDRAULIC® will be there for you, or your family. But this doesn't come cheaply. Just the eDRAULIC tools are $60,000. And that isn't all. The most costly and important part is the firefighters who have dedicated their lives to training on vehicle rescue and responding when you need help. That's priceless... And most are volunteers."

Several of our firefighters used the tools tonight on vehicles donated to us by Atglen Recycling. Thanks to Atglen Recycling for allowing us to do this valuable training.

More training to come..
