On Tuesday, February 26th, 2008 the Parkesburg Fire Company and Medic 93 were dispatched at 2326 to Route 10 South of Highland Road for a vehicle accident with victims reported ejected.

Chief Stackhouse responded at 2328 and arrived on the scene at 2330 and confirmed the location to be in fact North of Highland Road, just South of Boro Line Road. Chief 28 confirmed victims down in the roadway and requested a helicopter to be placed on standby. Chief 28 established "Route 10 Command."

Ambulance 28-2 responded at 2330 and arrived just one minute later. EMS crews immediately went to work to assess and treat the victims involved.

Rescue 28 responded and was assigned by the Chief to assist EMS personnel with patient care, and to set up lighting at the scene.

A second ambulance was requested to the scene, which called for the Pomeroy Fire Company Ambulance to be dispatched to assist. A second Medic unit was also called, which came from Southern Chester County EMS Medic 94.

As crews assessed the victims, it was determined that the patients would be transported by ground to the Lancaster General Hospital's Trauma Center, so the air medical helicopter was canceled.

Ambulance 28-2 along with Medic 93-1 and Pomeroy Ambulance 29-1 transported both patients to Lancaster General Hospital. Medic 94-4, from Southern Chester County EMS, was canceled by Pomeroy EMS crews.

Rescue 28's crew then began to clean up the roadway which was littered with debris and mud. Firefighters used a hose to clean up all the mud, and swept up the debris from the crash.

All units cleared the scene at 0025.
