FF/EMT Shane Desiderio, Jr. Firefighter Justin Entress and Jr. Firefighter Michael Lavender brought the door prop to Christiana to assist today with the 2017 Kid's Camp.

This is a fun annual event open to the area's youth highlighting firefighting and public safety. Christiana Fire Co., Lancaster County, has sponsored this ebent for yaers and area firefighters assist.

The door prop is designed to provide training on the critical skill of forced entry on a fire ground. During an interior attack, firefighters can't get water on a fire or make a rescue unless the can first access the structure. So today campers had an opportunity to do some forced entry.
