Serious Accident in West Sadsbury

At 11:07 AM, KVFD with a paramedic from Brandywine Hospital, was dispatched to a crash, reported to be serious, involving two vehicles on Octorara Trail, Rt. #10, at Common's Drive in West Sadsbury. The initial caller reported that there was possibly a driver entrapped in one of the vehicles.

Upon arrival of the responders, the driver was found to not be entrapped.

Assistant Chief Klingler assumed command. EMS evaluated all the occupants and the driver of one vehicle was treated and transported to Lancaster General hospital with the paramedic on-board directing care.

Firefighters assisted in hazard control and clean-up while fire police directed traffic. Thanks to the citizens and fire police from other agencies who assisted.

All units were clear by 11:43 AM and the roadway was re-opened.

Vehicles were towed by M&N Towing.

The accident is under investigation by the West Sadsbury Township police.
