This morning at 8:28 AM, KVFD was dispatched to a fuel spill involving a tractor trailer on Rt. #10 north of Highland Road in Highland Township. Troopers were on the scene of an accident and advised that a large amount of diesel fuel was leaking from a damaged fuel tank.

Chief 8, Deputy 8, Rescue 8, Tac 8, and fire police responded. Chief Cazillo requested Null's Towing for the hazmat containment and clean-up unit, and they responded. FM-45 responded to assist, and fire police were directed to shut down Rt. #10.

PA State Police troopers are investigating.

The roadway was shut down until approximately 10:30 AM.
