Keystone Valley Fire Department Ambulance 8-1 is an aging ambulance that was 12 years old with over 200,000 miles on it. It was well used and sorely in need of replacement.

So in partnership with the Keystone Valley Regional Fire District and the fire department, we were able to purchase a replacement of that ambulance, a "new" demonstration unit at a reduced cost, specifically a 2019 Ford F450, Diesel, 170” Wheeled Coach Type I Ambulance.

This will reduce our maintenance and service costs and give us far greater reliability. The purchase was planned and discussed over the course of two years.

The new unit costs $ 197,000.00 which includes a new stretcher loading system and some of the updated requirements for the Department of Health regulations.

It was purchased from Keystone Emergency Vehicles in New Holland, Pa.

The purchase of the new ambulance came from a combined effort of our Fire District and Fire Department through our Capital Replacement Program.

We thank Parkesburg Borough, West Sadsbury Township, Highland Township & Sadsbury Township for their support and most of all our communities for its on-going support.
