Due to the Covid-19 pandemic KVFD has been doing on-line and self paced training for its member on-line. This past Monday evening for the first time in months personnel were able to come together continuing to social distance and wearing masks to start off the 2021 year of training at KVFD.

Members were given a small dinner and started with a 2021 overview of changes and procedures with Covid-19.

Upon completion of the overview members were refreshed already on their blood born pathogens and CPR/AED with on-line discussion. The next thing to complete was the annual SCBA refresher. This was a great opportunity to continue social distancing and have each member review and operate SCBA.

The yearly refreshers this year were different than most due to the pandemic. It allowed for some distancing and members to complete some skills with SCBA in a group exercise led by the Captain's Jones & Marks.

25 KVFD personnel came out to kick-off the start of a new year.

From the Fire Chief, Stay tuned for more to come with training. This year KVFD is looking to work in conjunction with our neighboring agencies with joint training and also working to progress our personnel with their own personal growth in the volunteer organization with training.
