Today was the 2021 Baseball Festival sponsored by the SEPTBA at Historic PICO Field within Minch Park in Parkesburg Borough.

Today's activities consisted of the following:

11am - 1pm Parkesburg Ironmen (13-15) Take on CAL of Wilmington, De.

1pm - 5pm - Classic Car Show (4pm Awards)

1pm - 3pm - 1860's Baseball Game
Elkton Eclipse vs Keystone BBC of Harrisburg (upper field)

3pm - 4pm - Baseball in the 1800's and early 1900's presentation

4pm - 6pm 1860's Baseball Game
Keystone BBC of Harrisburg vs SEPTBA Coaches (upper field)

KVFD participated at the Car Show with Ladder 8 displaying the flag and a tent set-up for recruitment and fire prevention.

As the day went on KVFD personnel were invited to take part in playing along side Parkesburg Ironmen and Coaches against the Keystone Baseball Club of Harrisburg. Several members took park in playing 1860's style baseball into the evening hours. Although the Keystone BBC was too much to defeat the attempt was good along with interaction amongst the Community. Thanks to SEPTBA Coach Chad Nagy for the invite.

Keystone Valley Fire Department wishes the South Eastern Pennsylvania Baseball Association (SEPTBA) the best of luck with its endeavors and encourages the Community and youth to get involved in the league. Today's activities is just a start for the league as well as the Parkesburg area. More can be found on the history of the baseball field at https://www.septba.com
