KVFD was scheduled to conduct a full-exercise fire drill at Westminster Place of Parkesburg today at 1:00 P.M. While preparing to leave KVFD personnel heard alarms sounding from Westminster Place across the street and CCFR dispatched KVFD at 12:34 Hours for the automatic fire alarm. The fire alarm pull station was activated due to error in one of the pull stations and the fire alarm turned into a full drill at that location.

KVFD Ladder 8 arrived on-scene and set-up as the first due ladder and personnel arrived and assisted with the evacuation of the residents. All the residents of Westminster Place evacuated and reported to the appropriate locations within the facility.

KVFD personnel set-up on all four floors of the structure and assisted with the drill. Upon completion of the drill KVFD grabbed a group photo with some of our local residents and supporters of KVFD.

KVFD was working with Westminster Place management to have a successful fire drill after the fire prevention meeting a few weeks back.
