Town home Fire In Sadsbury Township

On February 3rd, 2024, at 16:07 the Sadsburyville Fire Company along with neighboring agencies were dispatched to the Sadsbury Park Development in Sadsbury Township for a reported house fire.

Chief 31 (McCarthy) along with responding units were advised by the Chester County 911 Center that the caller reported a fire in a bedroom which was reported to be started by a candle. Chief 8 (Gathercole) was the first arriving officer to find a 3-story end of the row townhome with smoke showing and requested a "Working Fire Dispatch".

Rescue 31 was the first arriving unit and their crew began fire suppression efforts. Chief 31 arrived and assumed command for the incident and as additional apparatus arrived, they were given their assignments. Sadsburyville and assisting personnel quickly extinguished the fire with the fire being placed under control at 16:18.

Chief 31 requested county fire marshal's as well as Peco to the scene to secure the utilities. A special request was made for ServePro for board up services and water damage to the property.

All units were clear of the scene at 16:54.
