Mutual-Aid Assist to Working Building Fire In Coatesville City |

On March 7th, 2024, at 13:27 the Coatesville Fire Department along with mutual aid agencies were dispatched to the 100 block of East Lincoln Highway in Coatesville City for a reported building fire. Chief 43 (Dobson) along with city Fire and EMS units made the response and were advised by the Chester County 911 Center that the caller reported smoke and fire visible. Ladder 41 arrived to confirm a working fire and requested the “Working Fire Dispatch”. Chief 43 arrived and assumed the. “East Lincoln Highway” command. Additional units were dispatched to the scene for manpower and as they arrived, they were given their assignments by Chief 43. Ladder 8 was assigned to the rear of the building along with Engine 37-2 and their crew also assisted with fire suppression as well as ventilation. The fire was placed under control at 14:16 by command with the crews performing salvage and overhaul operations. Ladder 8 cleared the call at 15:12. |
