Western Chester County Fire Chief's hosted a live fire training exercise called "A Night in the life" at the Chester County Fire Training Center in South Coatesville.

Fire Companies participated in several dispatched incidents to simulate real responses and trained together to better serve our communities.

This event is designed to help our volunteer firefighters from all over the county, train on different scenarios of emergencies that might occur in their local townships as well as surrounding communities, or mutual aid calls.

They ranged from live fire events, auto accidents, hazardous materials, auto fires, and elevator malfunctions. The firefighters also learn to work with other fire companies and their equipment.

Agencies other then KVFD participating included:

Sadsburyville Fire Company
Honey Brook Fire Company
Wagontown Fire Company
Modena Fire Company
Thorndale Fire Company
Westwood Fire Company
Glenmoore Fire Company

Agencies were dispatched to single station incidents to multi-agency incidents simulated through dispatching. Thank you to the instructors who worked through the evening hours to allow a large group of personnel to train.

This training is a valuable tool to our personnel and also the utilization of standardized responses in our region.
