On June 1st, 2024, Keystone Valley Fire Department EMS was dispatched to assist the Cochranville Fire Company and mutual aid in the 700 block of Street Road in Londonderry Township for a building fire.

Ambulance 8-2 and mutual aid went responding and were advised by the Chester County 911 Center that the caller reported fire and smoke coming from a building. The property owner called the 911 center and advised that the building would be a barn on their property and that the building was heavily engulfed in fire.

Ambulance 22-2 and Captain 15-A arrived to confirm the report and also reported there were explosions inside of the barn. Chief 22 (Felker) requested a tanker task force to the scene for water due to the area not having fire hydrants. 3 additional Engine Companies were requested to the scene as well for manpower. Tanker 8 was dispatched to the scene at this time as part of the tanker task force. Chief 22 (Felker) arrived and assumed command of this incident. Chief 22 (Felker) gave an updated report of the barn being fully involved with extension into a house on the property.

As units and personnel arrived they were given their assignments by the commander. The fire was placed under control at 13:06 with all hands working. Extensive salvage and overhaul operations took place on this incident.

Keystone Valley Fire Department units cleared the scene at 15:47.
