Reported House Fire In Sadsbury Township

On June 20th, 2024, at 17:58 Sadsburyville Fire Company along with Keystone Valley Fire Department and mutual aid were dispatched to the 3000 block of Lincoln Highway in Sadsbury Township for a reported house fire.

Deputy 31 (Grossman) along with the Sadsburyville Fire Company units and mutual aid units made the response and were advised by the Chester County 911 Center that the caller reported grass on the side of the apartment building was smoking and believed to have caught the wall of the apartment building on fire.

Ambulance 8-1 and Rescue 31 arrived to find a small patch of grass to be smoldering on the side of the apartment building. Rescue 31's crew and arriving mutual aid personnel assisted with extinguishment and checked the residence for possible extension. Deputy 31 arrived and assumed the command for this incident as Lieutenant 31 (Desiderio) held the operations. Interior crews reported no fire had spread into the apartment building. As units arrived they were given their assignments by Deputy 31. The situation was placed under control and eventually the assignment was scaled back to the 31 units and Ladder 8.
