On September 13th, 2024, at 21:19 Keystone Valley Fire Department along with Westwood Paramedics were dispatched to the 3000 block of Lincoln Highway in West Sadsbury Township for a auto accident reported serious.
Keystone Valley Fire Department units and Medic 344 made the response and were advised by the Chester County 911 Center that the Sadsbury Township Police Department came upon a two-vehicle auto accident. The Sadsbury Township Police officer advised two-vehicles were off of the roadway and into a field and 1 subject was unconscious inside of a vehicle.
Deputy 8 (Klingler) arrived and assumed the command for this incident and requested a 2nd ambulance to the scene. Ambulance 8 and Medic 344 arrived just 5 minutes after the dispatch and their crew began triaging the scene for patients. Rescue 8 arrived and their crew multi tasked and provided light for the scene, assisted EMS with patient care, secured the hazards on the vehicles. Lancaster Ambulance 46 arrived and assumed care of the subject from the 2nd vehicle from the 8 crews.
All EMS units transported their respective patients to area hospitals and Rescue 8 remained on the scene to assist the police department with their investigation. The roadway was shut down by Keystone Valley Fire Department Fire Police until the police departments accident investigation was concluded.
