On June 6th, 2025, at 15:38 Cochranville Fire Company along with area mutual aid were dispatched to the 200 block of King Road in West Fallowfield Township for a garage fire.

Cochranville Fire Company units and mutual aid made the response and were advised by the Chester County 911 Center that the caller reported smoke coming from a detached garage which was 100 feet from a house.

Engine 27-2 was the first arriving unit to confirm the report and began suppression efforts. Captain 27 arrived and held the command for this incident. The commander requested a "Working Fire Dispatch" along with a tanker task force and 2 ATV's to the scene. Unfortunately, there are limited water sources in that area to extinguish a fire and tanker trucks are needed. As responding units arrived, they were tasked with assisting with fire suppression, ventilation, salvage and overhaul.

The fire was placed under control at 16:45 with all hands working. A firefighter was transported from the scene by Christiana EMS. The Commander also made a notification to the utility companies, local and county fire marshal's.

All keystone Valley Fire Department units cleared the scene at 18:01

KVFD units responding included Engine, Ladder, Tanker, Tac, & Utility 8

Glad there were no serious injuries. We were playing golf and heard two loud explosions before seeing the smoke.
