2025 National Night Out In Parkesburg Borough

On August 5th, 2025, Area residents gathered in Parkesburg at Minch Park to celebrate the 5th annual National Night out event hosted by the Parkesburg Police Department in conjunction with Parkesburg Borough Parks and Recreation Committee.

Attendees had the opportunity members of the Keystone Valley Fire Department and tour the apparatus and equipment carried on our trucks. Keystone Valley Fire Department personnel also handed out fire prevention information to attendees.

The Parkesburg Borough Police Department was also in attendance led by Chief Murtagh his officers handed out free ice pops and also gave tours of the police vehicles and equipment carried in them.

DJ Jack Mariano provided the music for the event and Munchies Grilled Cheese Food Truck provided various types of food for the event. Attendees also enjoyed free face painting, which was provided by Honey, I Painted the Kids. And the Parkesburg Free Library provided games and free kids' books, as well as signups for library cards.

Salon Boninu provided Fairy Hair, the Boy Scouts and Parks & Recreation provided activities & games for the kids.

The night ended with the much-anticipated Chicken Wing Challenge which was put on by the Parkesburg Police Department to the Keystone Valley Fire Department. Spectators watched as two of the best from the Parkesburg Police Department Officers (O'Keefe and
Bruno) challenged Keystone Valley Fire Department's (Evans and Kim Klingler) with Keystone Valley Fire Department emerging as the victors and walking away with bragging rights. 46-22 for the total!
