| Odor Investigation Inside Of A Home In Parkesburg Borough |

| On October 10th, 2025, at 18:55 Keystone Valley Fire Department was dispatched to the 600 block of West Bridge Street in Parkesburg Borough for an odor investigation inside of a home. Ladder, Engine, Rescue, Utility, Ambulance 8 all made the response and were advised by the Chester County 911 Center that the Parkesburg Police Department was on location with a chemical smell inside of a home and requested a response from the fire department. Keystone Valley Fire Department units arrived, and the crews monitored the home for the chemical odor. Chief 8 (Marks) arrived and assumed the command for this incident. Lieutenant 8 (Garver) assumed the operations role for this incident. A notification was made to the Chester County Hazmat on duty officer. A notification was also made to BELFOR to respond to the scene as well. Ambulance 8 treated 1 subject on the scene but did not transport that subject. Keystone Valley Fire Department units believed that the cause was sewer gas back up into the home as sewer lines were being worked on earlier in the day. The situation was placed under control, and all Keystone Valley Fire Department units were clear at 20:54. |
