| Today, firefighter Clements participated in a new pilot program wildland firefighting class, hosted by Wagontown Fire Company and the Forestry Service.
Members completed a classroom portion earlier this month and concluded the training today with hands-on exercises.
Tac 8, which is typically responsible for water supply and relay pumping during field or brush fires, was utilized along with several other units during today’s training.
As warmer weather approaches, residents are urged to use caution when pursuing open burning. Always check the local weather forecast and, most importantly, review your jurisdiction’s open burning regulations before proceeding. |
