This evening Sadsburyville Fire Company, along with Rescue 8, Ambulance 8, Ambulance 44, along with Medic 93 were dispatched to Route 30 for an auto accident with entrapment. Ambulance 8 made an immediate response with Rescue 8 following behind with a crew of 6. Supplemental information being given to responding chiefs and units, indicated one car collided with a horse and buggy, trapping one victim under the buggy.

Deputy 31(Supplee) arrived to confirm reports. Deputy 31 then gave Rescue 8 instructions to secure the buggy while extrication was completed by EMS. Rescue 8 arrived and began securing the buggy while EMS extricated the patient. Following extrication being completed, Rescue 8 was returned to service by Deputy 31.

Ambulance 8 along with Medic 93 transported one patient to LGH Trauma. Ambulance 44 also transported one patient to BWH for evaluation and treatment.

Multiple Fire Police units assisted onscene as well to control traffic around the scene.
