| On Wednesday evening June 5, 2013 the Modena Fire Company along with Westwood Fire Company, Sadsburyville for one engine and Cochranville for the pumper/tanker to a reported garage fire on Westmoreland Drive in East Fallowfield Township at 1749 hours.
Assistant 44 (Scott) was first on-scene reported an attached garage fully involved and fire pushing into house, requested the WTF. Deputy Chief Perine (Deputy 37) arrived on scene and took Westmoreland Command and requested the tanker task force, he also reported a trailer in front of garage as a exposure and advised it was full of racing fuel.
Station # 8 was added to the assignment on the WFD for Rescue 8 for RIT to assist the units responding and already on-scene. Squad 8 with additional personnel also made the response to supplement the Rescue 8.
During the incident two (2) firefighters one from Westwood and one from Coatesville suffered injuries, both were taken to hospital treated and later released, both companies are glad to report both firefighters are ok.
