This afternoon KVFD was dispatched at 3:40 PM to assist the Cochranville Fire Company with Tanker 8 for a brush fire on property near 3771 Bailey Crossroads in West Fallowfield, and shortly later dispatched for an additional 2 engines. Engine 8-2 responded. Then 40 minutes later a second call was received to assist Sadsburyville Fire Company with a house fire reported at the 400 block of Fox Trail in Sadsbury Township.

Cochranville Fire Company, with multiple responding departments from Western Chester County and Eastern Lancaster County, were able to contain and extinguish the brush fire after several hours of work. Fortunately the fire in Sadsbury was also contained. The original reports were in error and it was a mulch fire. Sadsburyville Fire handled it and recalled all other departments.
