The future of Pa's Volunteer fire service is our kids! Many of our Junior firefighters and active firefighters/EMTs were first exposed to the fire service as younger children. This weekend many local fire departments and companies came together spearheaded by the Christiana Fire Co, and sponsored by them and other community groups, to offer a fire experience day titled,"Step into the Boots of a Firefighter."

We attended with a crew on Utility 8 to conduct one of seventeen stations on the topic of hose management.

Over 185 children were registered.

This year’s theme will be "Step into the Boots of a Firefighter". The camp was held on will be Friday, August 22 and Saturday, August 23, 2014.

Friday was registration, t-shirt hand out and carnival style activities.

On Saturday there were activity stations with breakfast and lunch served.

Thanks to the Christiana Fire Co., for your work and leadership for years running this event.
