Tractor Accident in Highland Township

At 5:01 PM, KVFD was dispatched to an advanced life support call for an injured person from a tractor rollover accident in the 400 block of Old Stottsville Road, Highland Township, Chester County. Ambulance 8-1 responded with a paramedic from Brandywine Hospital. EMS Lt. Earl Taylor also responded.

Upon arrival, Lt. Taylor found a tractor over the embankment with the operator injured and the tractor leaking fluids. He requested assistance from fire units to assist in containing a fuel spill and in patient transport. KVFD Fire was then dispatched with Engine 8-1, Squad 8-1, Rescue 8, and Deputy 8 responding along with Highland Township fire marshal McKee.

Crews assisted with removal of the patient from the high grass and carrying him to Ambulance 8-1. He was subsequently transported to Brandywine Hospital.

The fuel spill was contained, and all units cleared by 6:00 PM.
