Department Picnic made Possible by Members and Community Partners

KVFD took a partial break from "business" by having a picnic at the Parkesburg VFW on Saturday.

The picnic was a chance for members to relax and enjoy the day together, working as a team and communicating while doing something other than responding to emergencies - like playing bean bag and horse shoes.

The chance to relax would not have been possible had it not been for our Community partners, Parkesburg VFW, Victory Brewing,Christiana Beverage, Rocco and Anna's and several other non-local contributors.

Food was nothing but the best, Butch's BBQ with the pig roast and the members that assured we had desserts.

The VFW stepped up once again and made us feel at home by donating the area, usually reserved for members only, and staff to assure a safe evening for us all (Thanks Judy, Bobby and Bobby Fred!).

The day was also made possible by West Grove Fire Company, who stood by to assure the safety of our District and our Career Staff who continued to provide service - business as usual.

Lastly, from the Fire Department Board and every single member that participated that day, any other day and will in the future. Thank you from the three Chiefs, your efforts make or break our operation.
