Multiple Crashes on Monday

On Monday, at 7:06 AM, we started the day with a pedestrian struck, reportedly a fourteen year old girl, on Church Street at West Main in Parkesburg. Ambulance 8-1 arrived on location and found that no fire or Advance Life Support services were required.

The incident was handled by Ambulance 8-1 and they recalled the fire department.

At 9:30 AM, Fire Police were requested to assist on Rt.#30 and Coover Road in Lancaster County. Traffic 8 did make the response and assist Fire Police from Lancaster County with traffic control on Business 30. Traffic was obstructed due to an accident involving a school bus.

At 3:54 PM, KVFD was dispatched to assist Sadsburyville Fire Co., Station #31, with a crash reported to be two or three vehicles on Rt. #30, Lincoln Highway, Sadsbury Township. Ambulance 8 responded along with Station #31 and found one person complaining of chest pains. An Advance Life Support unit from Brandywine Hospital was requested, and assisted in the transport. No additional fire or rescue resources from KVFD were required and the incident was handled by SFC Station # 31.

At 4:03 PM, KVFD, with an ambulance from the Christiana Community Ambulance were dispatched to a reported three vehicle crash on Rt. #30, Lincoln Highway, west of Moscow Road, in West Sadsbury Township.

Assistant 8, Rescue 8, Traffic 8, and Ambulance 46-1 responded. Ambulance 46-1 transported one patient to Brandywine Hospital while KVFD fire police and firefighters assisted the West Sadsbury Township police with traffic control and hazard clean-up.
