On Wednesday morning at 8:47 AM, KVFD was dispatched with the Cochranville Fire Co for a second rescue truck, and Westwood Fire Co., for a second ambulance, to an accident, reported to be serious, vehicle into a house in the 600 block of W. First Avenue, Borough of Parkesburg, PA. County 9-1-1 reported people screaming in the background when the call was received. A medic unit from Brandywine Hospital was also dispatched.

EMS Capt. Stephanie Klingler was first on the scene, with Ambulance 8-2 soon following. Capt. Klingler found that there were no injuries and recalled the non-KVFD units. KVFD then assisted the PD with traffic control and hazard control as the vehicle was removed.

Parkesburg PD is investigating the accident.

Also at 12:28 PM, KVFD was dispatched to a crash, initially reported to involve dump trucks vs. a car on Rt.#30, west of Rt. #10 in West Sadsbury Township. The location was updated to Rt#30 at Moscow Road. Ambulance 8-2 responded and upon arrival found that there was no need for rescue or fire services. Those units were recalled while enroute as per protocal.
