On Thursday morning, KVFD was dispatched to alarm activations at two locations in West Sadsbury. The first was for a smoke alarm activation at an apartment in the 4200 block of W. Lincoln Highway. Upon arrival KVFD and Gap firefighters found the smoke alarm was activated by steam from a shower. There was no fire, and units cleared.

Shortly later KVFD was dispatched to A. Duie Pyle in the 4000 block of Lower Valley Road for a water flow alarm. As crews were responding the management of A. Duie Pyle reported that there was no fire and it was accidental. Career staff on Ambulance 8-2 recalled the other units. No fire response was necessary.
