The Keystone Valley Fire Department is proud to announce that we have selected Dr. Herbert ("Bert") N. Schiffer, D.O., to serve as our new Medical Director of the EMS Division.
Dr. Schiffer is an Emergency Department attending Physician at Tower Health-Reading & Jennersville and also serves as the Medical Director for TowerDIRECT EMS which is one of our pre-hospital partners. Dr. Schiffer has an extensive EMS background that actually started with the Parkesburg Fire Company which now serves as our central station after the merger and formation of KVFD.
Dr. Schiffer recently received recognition as the 2020 EMS Programs Clinical Educator Award from the Reading Hospital - School of Health Sciences.
We're excited to have Dr. Schiffer serve the community where it all started for him!
