By KVFD
December 19, 2021
On Saturday night, KVFD held a recognition event at Victory Brewing in Parkesburg. Fire department members, their spouses or significant others, and community leaders were recognized for their hard work and support over the last year.
As fire Chief Gathercole said, "Over the course of the last year with the pandemic and also experiencing the highest call volume in the Department's history, as well as our past companies history in EMS, the volunteers and career staff personnel’s dedication and support to the communities in which we serve did not go un-noticed. The personnel of KVFD put in countless hours to respond to emergencies as well as work details and complete training to maintain our ability to be ready to respond day in and day out serving Western Chester County."
The chief said "KVFD is a great organization filled with a solid history and with history still yet to be made. We thank those who are part of the organization and those who support KVFD."
The families of the providers were thanked for their support of their loved ones who are frequently called upon to respond and serve the community.
Thank you to Victory Brewing of Parkesburg for hosting our event. Also thanks to a new business in the Borough "Elevate on the Ave" for your assistance with a token of appreciation for our members.
