Gas Line Struck In Parkesburg Borough

On March 20th, 2024, Keystone Valley Fire Department was dispatched to the 300 block of W. First Avenue in Parkesburg Borough for a gas leak.

Rescue 8, Ambulance 8-1, Engine 8 led by Assistant Chief Marks all made the response and were advised by the Chester County 911 Center that the caller reported smelling gas. Keystone Valley units arrived to find a utility company performing work had struck a gas line. Assistant Chief Marks requested a response from Peco while advising that the roadway would be closed.

Peco arrived a short time later and determined the situation would be an extensive operation. Keystone Valley Fire Department units were released from the scene by Peco.

All Keystone Valley Fire Department units cleared the scene at 16:03.
