By Newsdesk
March 27, 2024

On March 27th, 2024, at 12:44 the Keystone Valley Fire Department was dispatched to the 700 block of Zion Hill Road in West Sadsbury Township for an auto accident.

Ambulance 8-1 and Ambulance 8-2 both made the response 2 minutes after dispatch followed closely by Rescue 8. Responding units were advised by the Chester County 911 Center of a 2-vehicle accident with multiple people injured. Deputy 8 (Klingler) was the first to arrive and updated the accident location at Zion Hill and Zook Roads still in West Sadsbury Township. Deputy 8 confirmed multiple people were injured and requested a Medic to the scene for injuries sustained to a patient from the accident.

Ambulance 8-1 arrived at 12:51 and their crew split and started triaging the scene while also rendering care to the injured patients. Ambulance 8-2 arrived a short time later and were given their respective patients by Ambulance 8-1's crew. It was determined by Ambulance 8-2's crew that the medic would not be needed and recalled them. Rescue 8 arrived a short time later and their crew handled the hazards on the vehicles and debris removal.

Ambulance 8-1 transported their patient to an area hospital for further evaluation. Ambulance 8-2 cleared the scene while Rescue 8 remained at the scene to assist the police department and tow company.

The final Keystone Valley Fire Department unit cleared the call at 14:33.
