Email Print RSS Facebook Twitter RSS

By Past Chief Brian Gathercole
December 9, 2024

On Sunday November 8th, 2024 Keystone Valley Fire Department personnel gathered at Stottsville Inn to hold our 2024 Christmas Gathering for our KVFD personnel.

The event had a great turn-out with over 80 personnel including Career Staff, Volunteers and the significant others of the members attending.

The venue at Stottsville Inn was great, personnel could catch some of the Philadelphia Eagles game and also share fellowship with one another. Check out the Stottsville Inn @ https://www.stottsvilleinn.com/

Thank you to everyone that came out to part take in this year’s Christmas party. We cannot accomplish anything without the great responses and care provided by our Career Staff and Volunteers who continue to respond every day. The achievements of this organization are the results of the combined effort of each individual involved.

Thank you to Kevin Holmes, his wife Tina and Donna Rauchut for getting all the raffles and leading the way with Committee. The support of our Community and many stores & small businesses (Forthcoming) contributed to KVFD Personnel through raffles and means of giving thanks for your dedication to the community.

Thank you to Tammy Guiney and the Spoiled Guiney for all the deserts and finding quality time to do so with your ER schedule. Thanks to BOD Robert Guiney for the grand prize raffle being a Leather Helmet.

This organization continues to maintain great strides in the emergency services in Western Chester County. Everyone deserves to be recognized and the Officers and Board thank all of you for your commitment.

Thank you to West Sadsbury, Parkesburg Borough and Highland Township along with Sadsbury Township for always believing in us and supporting us along the way.

Past Chief Gathercole started "We are a different breed you and I. A breed that is dying in the current culture. Who leaves there families to go to calls, meetings, details and volunteers without any compensation, recognition or sometimes support depending where you volunteer". KVFD is thankful "blessed" to have a great group of personnel with dedicate their time and commit to their communities each day. Your dedication and commitment is not unseen. In this current state of Emergency Services your commitment is like no other!

We have seen the change in current responses, the statistics continue to rise and our personnel have also risen to the challenge of taking in more assignments and being pro-active to change. As the culture of the fire service changes, new officers come and go, we still maintain our up most respect for those before us and with us.

The top responders although everyone is a top responder are being recognized for their commitment and dedication to KVFD. Each one of these members has responded to over 50% of the calls and is committed to attending training.

Top Responders:
Robert Johnson - Fire Police
Corey Garver - FF
Richard Daisley - FF
Michael Pawlowski - FF

EMS Providers of the Year:
Leah DiPetro and William "Bill" Dill.

Recognition was given to Past Chief Gathercole and Richard Klingler for all their years of contribution and selfless amount of hours they have committed to KVFD by the new in-coming Officers.

Thank you to the Washington Hose Company "Washies" Station # 41 EMS for covering our EMS Calls for a few hours and your support during out event.

Thank you to Senn's Workshop and Woodworking for the Plaques.

Thank you to Michael Quinn and the Stottsville Personnel for a great relaxing evening. Check out Stottsville Inn @ https://www.stottsvilleinn.com/
