June 4, 2025

On June 4th, 2025, at 19:07 Keystone Valley Fire Department along with a Paramedic from Westwood Fire Company EMS Division were dispatched to the area of E. Highland and Stottsville Roads in Highland Township for an auto accident with entrapment.

Keystone Valley Fire Department units and Medic 344 made the response and were advised by the Chester County 911 Center that the Pennsylvania State Police were on the scene advising of a single vehicle accident and the vehicle was suspended into a tree with a subject trapped in the vehicle. The Pennsylvania State Police also advised that a platform would be needed to safely get the subject down from the vehicle. Deputy Chief (Cazillo) made the response and requested a tower truck and Nulls Towing for their rotator truck to the scene based off of the additional notes.

Deputy Chief (Cazillo) arrived and confirmed the report but determined that a tower truck would not be needed and recalled Tower 24. Deputy Chief (Cazillo) held the command for this incident. Ambulance 8 arrived, and their crew made contact with the subject of the vehicle who advise they were not hurt. Rescue, Tac, Engine, Ladder 8 arrived, and their crews began extricating the subject from the vehicle. The subject was freed from the vehicle and turned over to the Pennsylvania State Police. Deputy Chief (Cazillo) advised that the extrication was complete at 19:23.

Keystone Valley Fire Department units remained on the scene to assist the Pennsylvania State Police with the investigation and also to assist Null's Towing with the removal of the vehicle.

Thank You to Null's Towing for the rapid response with their rotator truck thankfully this valuable equipment was not needed for extrication purposes. Keystone Valley Fire Department is blessed to have Null's Towing as a huge supporter of not only our organization but many Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement agencies around the area.

All Keystone Valley Fire Department units cleared the scene at 20:27.
