| On September 28th, 2025, at 8:34 Keystone Valley Fire Department was dispatched to the 4000 block of W. Lincoln Highway in West Sadsbury Township for an auto accident.
At 8:35 the call was upgraded to an auto accident with entrapment by the Chester County 911 Center which added Medic 344 to the assignment. Keystone Valley Fire Department units and Medic 344 made the response and were advised by the Chester County 911 Center that numerous callers reported a pickup truck wrapped around a telephone pole with the operator trapped inside.
Ambulance 8-1 arrived 7 minutes after the dispatch and confirmed 1 vehicle wrapped around a telephone pole with the operator heavily trapped in the vehicle. Deputy 8 (Gathercole) immediately started a 2nd rescue to the scene to assist with extrication. Ambulance 8 and Medic 344 began assessing the patient unfortunately the patient had succumb to their injuries as a result of the accident. Rescue, Engine, Tac 8 arrived and began stabilization and controlling the hazards on the vehicle.
Deputy 8 arrived and assumed the "Lincoln Highway Command" and was debriefed of the situation by personnel on the scene and requested a fire police task force to shut the roadway down. Gap Fire Company Rescue and Engine 42 arrived and were made available by the commander as their services would not be needed.
Medic 344 was released from the scene as well and Ambulance 8 was made available on the scene. The Pennsylvania State Police took over the scene and the Keystone Valley Fire Department units stood by while the investigation was being conducted. Null's towing was also contacted for the rotator and containment unit to assist at the scene.
The subject was extricated from the vehicle at 11:37 and the scene was turned back over to the Pennsylvania State Police. Rescue 8 cleared the scene a short time later leaving the fire police in place to keep the local roadways shut down.
All Keystone Valley Fire Department units were clear at 14:01 and the local roadways were reopened.
